J.C. Bose University Hosts Japanese Delegation, Proposes India–Japan Talent Partnership

Japanese delegation visits J.C. Bose University in Faridabad for India–Japan partnership talks

Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, hosted a high-level delegation from Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, to explore collaboration in skill development, research, and industry partnerships.

The delegation was led by Mr. Nakano Shinya, Vice Director General of the Commercial & Industrial Department, Fukuoka Prefectural Government, and included Mr. Misawa Reiichiro, Secretary General of the Fukuoka Institute of Technology (FIT). The visit was held on the recommendation of the Consulate General of India in Fukuoka.

During the meeting, the University proposed the SETU (Strategic Exchange for Talent & University Collaboration) Initiative, aimed at making J.C. Bose University Haryana’s central hub for India–Japan cooperation. The initiative focuses on talent development, industry collaboration, startup incubation, internships, placements, and faculty-student exchange.

The University also presented a three-phase talent framework comprising internships, corporate networking and recruitment, and long-term employment pathways to support Japan’s plan to welcome 50,000 skilled Indian professionals over the next five years.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar highlighted the University’s strengths in skill development, research, innovation, and its existing academic partnership with Ehime University. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to preparing students for opportunities in Japan.

The Japanese delegation appreciated the University’s location in Haryana’s industrial hub, its industry-oriented skill development model, and its alumni network associated with leading Japanese companies. The delegation also suggested introducing Japanese language courses to further enhance students’ employability in Japan.

The programme concluded with the delegation visiting the University’s Centre of Excellence on Electric Vehicle Technology, University Studios, and Central Research Facility, marking a significant step toward strengthening India–Japan academic and industrial collaboration.
