Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT Faridabad, celebrated Grandparents’ Day on October 31, 2026, with cultural performances and a special programme highlighting the bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
The event was attended by Jyoti Dahiya, Principal of DAV Public School, Sector 49, Faridabad, as the guest of honour. School Principal Tarun Prakash welcomed and felicitated her.
Students from Nursery to Class IX participated in various performances. Children from Nursery, LKG, UKG and Class I presented a special dance dedicated to their grandparents. Students of Classes I and II performed Deep Dance, adding colour and excitement to the celebration.
The main attraction was a special presentation of Ram Katha. Students presented important episodes from the Ramayana, including Ayodhya Utsav, Sita-Ram Vivah, Bharat Milap, Sita Haran and Ram-Ravan Yudh. The programme concluded with Ram Darbar, highlighting the victory of good over evil.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Tarun Prakash spoke about the special relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. He encouraged students to spend quality time with their grandparents, listen to their experiences and learn from their wisdom.
The celebration highlighted the importance of family values, traditions and respect for elders. The programme concluded with a message of love, affection and togetherness across generations.
