Doctors not seen happy on Doctors Day, writes to PM letter

Faridabad/ Alive News: The 1st July has been announced as Doctors Day, in which doctors express their happiness and participate in several social activities, but unfortunately they were witnessed unhappy at their day and not only this, were also witnessed in protest with tying black ribbon while working. They expressed their anger against seventh pay commission.

Actually, this protest was called off by Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMS) here at B.K Hospital, in which its doctors peacefully expressed their protest over negligence to the doctors in the seventh pay commission. The doctors worked in OPD by tying black ribbon. During this, a letter was also written by association to the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi over their demands.

Hospital chief medical officer Dr. Sushil Mahi stated that there is big shortage of doctors in the state, though doctors have not been taken into account of interests in Seventh Pay Commission and has writing to the PM seeking protection, he said. He further said that doctors are given 25 per cent Non Practice Allowance (NPA) and it is linked to basic pay.  It has been done 20 per cent by reducing. He said provision for the housing allowance at NPA has also been removed. They have demanded to include it in basic salary and nightly allowance, extra duty allowance is also sought.
