National/Alive News: The recent firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai has brought the alleged threats linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates back into focus. On October 18, 2026, three men reportedly fired five rounds at the vehicle in Juhu. According to reports, all three suspects were arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan within 15 hours of the incident.
An associate identified as Anil Pandit allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing through audio messages and threatened Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The speaker reportedly demanded that Salman apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community. The authenticity and context of these messages, as well as the suspects’ roles, remain subject to investigation.
Why Is Salman Khan Being Targeted?
The alleged threats are linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Salman Khan was accused of hunting two blackbucks near Kankani village in Rajasthan while shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Bishnoi community, which considers blackbucks sacred and strongly supports wildlife protection, has long expressed anger over the incident.
Lawrence Bishnoi has repeatedly threatened Salman Khan over the case. In 2023, the actor’s security was upgraded following threats, and he was provided Y+ security cover by the Maharashtra government.
Several Celebrities and Associates Face Threats
The alleged Bishnoi network has been linked in police investigations and media reports to threats against several prominent personalities. These include filmmaker Rohit Shetty, actor Ranveer Singh and actor Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law.
The murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in October 2024 also intensified concerns about the safety of people associated with Salman. The gang reportedly claimed responsibility for the killing, citing Siddique’s links with the actor.
The Lawrence Bishnoi network gained further notoriety after the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022. Investigators have described the network as involved in organised crime, including extortion, threats and contract killings.
The latest firing case has renewed concerns about Bollywood’s security. Police investigations will be crucial in establishing the motive behind the incident and determining whether it was directed by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi network.
