Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad, organised a Tree Plantation Drive followed by an Awareness Programme to promote environmental consciousness among students and sensitise them about traffic safety, cyber security and the importance of staying drug-free.
The programme was attended by Inspector Anoj Kumar, Traffic Tau Shri Virender Singh, Dr. Ramesh Dagar, President of the Educators’ Club, Vice President Ms. Anita Gautam, Principal of DAV Public School, Sector-14, along with other dignitaries and members of the police team.
The event began with a tree plantation drive in which students, teachers and dignitaries enthusiastically participated. Several saplings were planted on the school premises, reinforcing the message of environmental conservation and the need to create a greener future. The plantation drive was followed by ceremonial lamp lighting and Ganesha Vandana.
School Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of developing environmental awareness among young students. Students also presented an engaging skit on cyber security, highlighting the need for vigilance and responsible use of technology.
Dr. Ramesh Dagar briefed the gathering about the vision and initiatives of the Educators’ Club. Traffic Tau Shri Virender Singh interacted with the students and shared useful information on road safety, cyber security and the importance of avoiding drugs. He encouraged students to make safe, responsible and informed choices.
The programme provided students with practical guidance on traffic safety, digital security and environmental conservation. It concluded with Shanti Path followed by the National Anthem. The initiative conveyed the message that responsible actions taken today can help build a safer, greener and better tomorrow.
