J.C. Bose University Celebrates Indian New Year with Yajna Ritual

Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, today celebrated the Indian New Year (Nav-Samvatsar) Vikram Samvat 2082 with great enthusiasm and fervor. The occasion was marked by a traditional yajna (fire ritual) performed to pray for peace, prosperity, and well-being.

The yajna, organized by the office of Dean Students Welfare, was aimed at promoting India’s rich cultural heritage. University officials, faculty members, and students participated in the ceremony to mark the auspicious day.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, extended warm wishes to everyone on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and the Hindu New Year, known as ‘Nav-Samvatsar.’ In his message, Prof. Tomar emphasized the importance of preserving India’s cultural values and highlighted that numerous festivals across the country symbolize the beginning of the traditional New Year. He stated that these celebrations foster unity in India’s diverse cultural landscape and inject fresh energy and enthusiasm among the people. Prof. Tomar expressed his hope that the New Year would bring happiness, prosperity, and new opportunities for growth.

The Vice-Chancellor also lauded the efforts of the Vivekananda Manch at the university for organizing such cultural events.

Prominent dignitaries including Dean Student Welfare Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Dean (Institutions) Prof. Munish Vashishth, Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Arvind Gupta, along with other senior university officials, were also present during the celebration.
