Srinagar/Alive News: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two suspected terror associates from Srinagar as part of an investigation into a terror network allegedly involved in targeting women and spreading separatist propaganda.
The arrested men have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Bhat and Showkat Ahmad Reshi. Police said efforts to dismantle terror networks in the region would continue. According to officials, 30 terror associates have been arrested across Jammu and Kashmir in the past 75 days.
Meanwhile, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), along with local police, conducted simultaneous searches at six locations in Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama and Anantnag.
The raids were linked to an alleged social media recruitment network connected to the banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Investigators seized digital devices and documents during the searches. These are being examined to trace possible links with handlers across the border and local associates. The probe is also looking into connections with cases registered in Hokersar and Magam.
