Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Communication and Media Technology at JC Bose University of Science and Technology YMCA organized a one-day educational visit to enhance the practical knowledge of its students. A group of 54 students from the BA JMC, BSc Visual Communication, and BSW programs visited the prestigious national news channel ‘India TV’ at its Noida studio, gaining close exposure to the intricacies of live news production.
The educational tour was led by Assistant Professor Ajay Yadav and Production Assistant Vishal Berwal. They shared that the students received a unique opportunity to enter the high-tech studios of the news channel and witness live broadcasting operations firsthand.During the visit, the students observed the live recordings of two highly popular and acclaimed shows: “Sanatan Se Sajish” and “Bhojshala Nai Prayogshala.” This immersive experience helped them understand how live debates and in-depth analytical shows are produced and put on-air. Additionally, the students meticulously observed the functioning of various core departments, including: Newsroom Operations,Production Control Room (PCR), Master Control Room (MCR),Video Editing Wing, Engaging with Experts.
The highlight of the tour was the direct interaction between the media students and the subject matter experts and guest speakers present during the TV shows. Demonstrating sharp analytical skills, students including Ayush, Aditi, Jyoti, Geetanjali, Ankit, Gunjan, Khushi Priya, and Eklavya raised highly logical and relevant questions during the live shows, earning appreciation from the panel of experts.
CMT Chairperson, Prof. Pawan Singh, stated:”In today’s dynamic media landscape, textbook knowledge alone is not enough. Tours of industrial and news studios expose students to the real-time pressure of a newsroom, the nuances of on-camera presentation, and the challenges of ground fieldwork. Our objective is to make our students completely industry-ready, and this visit will prove to be highly practical, informative, and impactful for their future careers.
