J.C. Bose University committed to promoting global partnership: Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar

Faridabad/Alive News: JC Bose University participated in the Bharat-Nepal Higher Education Summit 2024, recently held in Kathmandu (Nepal) that witnessed the participation of distinguished leaders and Vice Chancellors across the nation. The Summit was organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) – Northern Region and it convened representatives from over 150 international universities with a vision to foster collaboration and exchange in the realm of higher education.

The summit, themed around the impact of globalization on higher education institutions, aimed to facilitate international partnerships, exchange of ideas, and the dissemination of best practices. With a particular emphasis on inter-cultural cooperation within the South Asian region, the event sought to enhance understanding and connectivity among academic communities. Speaking at the summit, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar highlighted the significance of the National Education Policy, 2020, in positioning India as a global hub for learning.

Emphasizing the policy’s focus on internationalization, he outlined initiatives undertaken by J.C. Bose University to attract foreign students, establish research collaborations, and facilitate faculty and student exchanges. The university’s dedicated International Affairs Cell underscores its commitment to fostering global engagement.Throughout the summit, Vice Chancellors deliberated on strategies for internationalizing higher education, including enhancing student mobility, promoting joint research endeavors, and harmonizing global academic standards.

Technical sessions, such as ‘International Collaboration and Partnerships: Building Bridges to Higher Education’, Global Higher Education Policy and Regulations: Harmonization of Standards’ and ‘Student Mobility and Diversity: Enhancing International Experience’. In line with the summit’s objectives, the event underscored the importance of forging international collaborations to enrich the higher education landscape. By promoting mobility, diversity, and innovation, stakeholders aim to create a more interconnected and globally competitive academic environment.
