Faridabad/Alive News : Teej festival at The Ideal Public School, Shiv durga vihar Lakkarpur was celebrated with much fanfare under the leadership of Principal Director Dr Sudesh Bhadana on Satrday. On this occasion, the teachers and students dressed up in Punjabi costumes on the stage.
Gidha and Bhangra were displayed by the students. An exhibition related to culture was also organized in which children were given information about Charkha, Peengh, Madhanis.Tappe and folk songs were also presented by the teachers. The Senior and the Junior girls had participated in the Giddha Competition and Seniors had won the competition.
Teachers were also made part of the She was the flavor of the festival, different dance forms were represented by little popcorn sections, Stall of food were put up by teachers of Khana Khazana Manju Awasthi and Anupama with their Girls or boys put up stalls on material related to Teej for selling like Bangles, Bindi, Mehandi etc. the Principal thanked all the guests and encouraged the children to stay connected with the culture.
