YMCA team won second position in Science Quiz

Faridabad/ Alive News: A three member team of YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad has won second position in Inter-College Science Quiz organised by the K.L. Mehta Memorial Trust in K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad on February 20, 2018. Prof. Raj Kumar, Chairman of Humanities and Sciences Department, has congratulated the team members for their achievement. The team comprising of students namely Amit Dubey, Shoman Mandal and Vinod, all from M.Sc. (Chemistry) final year participated in the event. As many as 10 college teams competed in the event and YMCA University team won second prize.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dinesh Kumar has congratulated the team members for their achievement. This is the first time that the University team participated in AIU’s National Level competition and got the position. As many as 116 Universities across India participated in the National Youth Festival in different events while 15 University teams competed in the theatre event (Mime). The University team performed a Mime act which was based on unconditional love of a mother. The members who were part of the team include Prateek Gupta, Srishti Pandey, Sandeep Yadav, Harsh Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Shevam Nagar.

Earlier, in the qualifying stage, the University team also won the third position in the same act during 33rd North Zone Inter-University Youth Fest which was held in Maharishi Markandeswar University, Mullana (Ambala) from January 12 to 16, 2018.
