Free Tailoring, Embroidery, Skill & Awareness Generation Camps for EWS Women and Girls at Jaitpur, Delhi
Faridabad/ Alive News: A unique initiative for the social empowerment has been taken by Larsen & Toubro – Nai Umang Prayas Trust. Where Government Departments have aimed at uplifting economical weaker section of society and started initiatives and several Non – Governmental Organizations are beginning to raise their voice for rights. Towards enhancing the strength, Larsen & Toubro, Faridabad launched free beautician and sewing course under corporate social responsibility (named Swanirbhar Nari) for the women’s empowerment in 2015-16. Today many of them are doing jobs in export houses. Some of them have started their own Beauty Parlour and tailoring center.
Based on the success of this programme, L&T Nai Umang (Prayas Trust) started new programme named, Digital Media during Dec-2017. The programme provided training that how to use camera, videography, photography, light camera, action and audio visual effects. Another programme on cooking course has been started on 22nd Jan, 2018 in association with NSIC (G. D. Institute of Skill Development).
In continuation to above skill building and empowerment programmes, L&T-Ladies Club Faridabad has initiated new course on Tailoring, Embroidery, Skill & Awareness Generation Camps for women and girls at Jaitpur, Delhi on 28th Feb, 2018 in association with PHD Family Welfare Foundation, Delhi.
The Programme was inaugurated by S. K. Lamba, President, Nai Umang Prayas Trust, L&T Faridabad along with Madhumita Chaudhuri, K. Malathi, Mala Mehta, Kavita Kapoor, R. Sitaraman, DGM – Project Implementation & Administration, Sangita Dutta Das Senior member of PHD Family Welfare Foundation, Delhi
