ISL North India Football Club launches Soccer School at Homerton Grammar School, Faridabad

Faridabad/ Alive News: Delhi Dynamos Football Club, the club of North India that plays in Indian Super League (ISL) has launched a new state-of-the-art football academy in Homerton Grammar School, Sector 21A Faridabad.

The club through this academy endeavors to strengthen its grassroots development programme and nurture young talent. Delhi Dynamos FC in its short has signed legendary players like Italian and Juventus football superstar Alessandro del Piero, Former Brazil and Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos, Florent Malouda formerly of Chelsea / France and John Arne Riise formerly of Liverpool / Norway to name a few. The academy, which is a result of the existing tie-up between Homerton Grammar School and Delhi Dynamos F.C., will fall under the umbrella of ‘Delhi Dynamos Soccer Schools’. Hence the partnership between school and the elite footballing club is part of the vision to foster a sporting ecosystem that will change the way we view football in this country. The students enrolled at the academy, across age categories will be closely watched by the Delhi Dynamos FC coaching staff and will stand a chance to be a part of the junior squad or join the main squad as developmental players.

This is ensured by the quality of football education to be delivered by the Dynamos Soccer School at Homerton Grammar School’s lush green football ground in Faridabad. The soccer school follows a scientific curriculum imparted by elite AIFF & AFC certified coaches. The training that students receive will encompass technical, tactical, physical and mental training with a focus on nutrition and nurture an athlete’s psychology. Coaches are handpicked and vetted by technical directors at the club and the grassroots management team. Additionally, they are expected to take responsibility of the each player’ development through feedback and performance analysis processes, and through the organisation of competitive games every weekend.

Practice sessions will take place three times a week, with each session lasting a minimum of 90 minutes. A coach-student ratio of 1:12 ensures that every player’s needs are adhered to and that the player is the focus of the entire grassroots movement itself.

Students here are nurtured to develop in them an athlete’s strong mental and physical stamina, an important life skill a parent can give to its child.
