Faridabad/ Alive News : All the doctors of Indian Medical Association (IMA) across the country will observe fast from dawn to dusk (6am to 6pm) on 2nd October on the directive of the National Headquarters.
This information while giving to the Alive News correspondent Dr Sureah Arora President IMA Faridabad said that this is in continuation of his non violent struggle against government for non implementation of Inter Ministerial committee report. Dr Arora said the special demand on this occasion is to pressurise on the government to form a central act for violence against doctors.
He further said he is presenting a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Faridabad to be forwarded to Prime minister of India and chief Minister of Haryana.
He in his memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner are demanded as
1. Central Act to tackle violence against medical profession
2. De-linking penal provisions against doctors for minor clerical errors in act like
PCPNDT etc.
3. Timely amendments in agreed changes in Clinical Establishments Act and
PC-PNDT Act
4. Capping of compensation in cases of medical negligence
5. Withdrawal of National Medical Council Bill & EXIT proposal (NEXT)
