Faridabad/Alive News : To mark the 77th year of freedom from British Rule, DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT celebrated Independence Day as ‘Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav’ with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor in the school premises.The School campus was beautifully decorated with Tricolour flags and flyers all around.
The event was graced by Dr. N.K. Uberoi, the chairman of the school Dr. Satish Ahuja, the manager of the school and our eminent alumni- Mr. Sushant Nagar, Ms. Simran, Mr. Nitesh Tripathi, Mr. Aman Ahuja, Ms. Neha Bali, Mr. Azam Khan. They were all heartily welcomed with a token of gratitude by Ms. Jyoti Dahiya, the Principal of the School.
The auspicious programme commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp that evoked the spirit of oneness, serenity and enlightenment amidst the chanting of heavenly shlokas. The event exuberated with cultural extravaganza. The eye-catching and scintillating dance performances on the songs ‘jai Ho’ ,’Balaak Bharat Maa ke Hum’, ‘Vijayi Bhav’, ‘Thodi se dhool meri’, ‘Mein Bharat ka Chehra Hun’ stimulated love and reverence for beautiful motherland.
The school choir presented immensely sublime songs that instilled positivity and courage among the spectators. To name a few- ‘Har Karam Apna Karenge’, ‘Raghupati raghav’ and ‘hum Hindustani’. A Street play on Road Safety was showcased that aimed at sensitizing the audience about the importance of following traffic rules.
The programme was aired live on YouTube to reach out to its maximum stake holders. Dr. N.K. Uberoi addressed the gathering with his insightful and thought provoking words. He emphasized on the significance of diversity and solidarity of the nation. The celebration was truly a memorable one, efficaciously creating an ambience of patriotism, integrity and harmony. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by our Senior Superisor, Ms Sangita Roy.
The Principal, Ms. Jyoti Dahiya appreciated the efforts of the faculty as well as the pupils. She made an appeal to one and all to make our country, a Land -Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high- quoting Guru Rabindranath Tagore.
