Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, Sainik Colony Sec. 49 celebrated Father’s Day on 30 September in the school auditorium. The day was filled with happy faces, excitement and cheer as the budding stars displayed the purity of love and affection for their fathers.
The celebrations commenced with the solemn rendition of Gayatri Mantra followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The programme began with welcoming the Chief Guest – Dr. Ravi Handa, Director, Institute of Management and Institute of Law and Research, St. Peter’s College, Faridabad with a momento.
A power packed Welcome Dance performance by the students of class II left the spectators spellbound and mesmerized. The Principal Rajan Gautam, addressed the august gathering and encouraged the fathers to constantly support their children in all their endeavours. An array of scintillating dance performances were presented by the LKG and UKG boys and girls. The student anchors, Matheli Jha and Pranam, showcased their oratory skills with confidence.
The revered guest, Dr. Ravi Handa, appreciated the efforts of the students and told them that as God could not be everywhere so he made parents. Post speech, the talented singers of class I presented a musical performance on ‘Yeh to Such hai ki Bhagwan hai”, which showcased the special bond they share with their fathers.
The peppy medley by the students of class II B, and the melodious rendition of ‘Raghupati Raghav’ song by the pupils of class II B left everyone enthralled. The Father- Child Duo performance reflected the sweet and adorable relationship between the two. The most entertaining part was the ramp walk by the dashing daddies with their kids. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering on the faces when the talented kids and their fathers walked the ramp enthusiastically.
