Faridabad/ Alive News: The Christian community celebrated Good Friday and took out a procession in the city here on Friday. The community people assembled in St. Joseph’s Convent School premises in NIT-5, Faridabad where a short play based on Crucifixion of Jesus was presented by members of the community, and then a procession was taken out in the city.
The procession reached to St. Joseph’s Church through 4-5 number market and B.k Chowk. Meanwhile, talking to mediapersons Fr. Bal Raju parish priest and Fr. Anil Raj St. Joseph’s School jointly said that Good Friday is a solemn day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
Christians around the world observe this day with great humility and reverence. Observed on the Friday proceeding Easter Sunday, people honour and remember the passion and suffering through which Jesus went through. They said the day is also known as Great Friday, Holy Friday or Black Friday, many Christians spend the day fasting and is a day of mourning.
