Faridabad/Alive News: Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with enthusiasm in Faridabad Model School. The school organized a trip to ISKCON Temple, sector -37 for the students of class Nursery- II. The students appeared excited to spend a day in the serene atmosphere of the temple and learn beyond the classroom with their friends. The children kept looking at the temple with excited eyes.
After reaching the venue, the students were escorted in the area where idols are worshipped. They came to know about life of Shri Krishna through a story telling session, followed by a ‘Gallery Walk’ where students witnessed paintings depicting scenes from Lord Krishna’s life. Students were excited to see the paintings, which emphasized to push away all negative thoughts and concentrate on good deeds in our life.
Later the students sang and danced on the chants of ‘Hare Krishna-Hare Rama’. The visit helped students inculcate religious and cultural values in life and enhance spiritual development at early stage of childhood.The visit was followed by Janmashtami celebration in school, with full festive fervor. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the tiny tots gave a colourful and traditional touch to the entire celebration.
Class activities like matki decoration, crown making and decorating the peacock feather were also part of the celebration. It was a real treat to witness the young toddlers dance as they were looking fabulous in their traditional attires. Tiny tots had a gala time by singing, dancing and watching short movies based on Lord Krishna’s life. The students along with the teachers wished everyone a Happy Janmashtami.
