Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School organised a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Disaster Management for teachers to improve school safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis response skills.
The workshop was attended by Director-Principal Umang Malik, school coordinators, teachers, and participants from different schools. The session was conducted by resource persons Shikha Bhatnagar and Sapna Bahl.
During the programme, teachers were trained on the importance of disaster preparedness and their role as first responders during emergencies in schools. The workshop included interactive activities and practical simulations to help teachers understand how to respond during natural disasters, man-made disasters, and other emergency situations.
The participants learned about evacuation plans, emergency communication, first aid, risk assessment, and coordination during crises. The session also focused on helping teachers handle panic situations calmly and effectively.
The programme highlighted the need to include disaster preparedness in the school system to ensure a safe learning environment for students.
The workshop concluded with the felicitation of the resource persons and a vote of thanks to all participants for their active participation. The programme proved to be informative and useful in strengthening disaster management awareness among educators.
