Annual Orientation Programme concludes at Homerton Grammar School  

Faridabad/ Alive News: With the objective to give an overview of the school to the parents and introducing them to the academic environment, which their children will experience, at Homerton Grammar School, Faridabad organised the ‘Annual Orientation Programme’ for the parents of the newly admitted students of classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery and KG. More than 150 parents attended the programme. The programme began with a formal welcome by the Principal of the school Archana Dogra, who also threw light on the various safety measures that the school has adopted within the school campus and school buses. Important points like discipline, attendance, examination and sports were also taken up with the parents. The parents were introduced to the Kindergarten teachers who displayed an array of educational aids and toys demonstrating the use of these toys in educating students. In the next segment parents were introduced to their respective school transport in-charge, the drivers, the conductors and the female staff in charge of each bus.

In the third segment of the programme, the parents were given a tour of the school to give them a better understanding of the environment in which their children would be learning. In the tour the Trinity Sports Hall and the fully-equipped kindergarten classes with its individual projector, air conditioner, CC cameras, play ground and educational toys were highlighted. The parents were delighted to see the kitchen –garden where their children would be growing their own seasonal fruits and vegetable to understand the process of growth. The school’s tie-up with the ‘Delhi Dynamos’ Soccer Club and their trainers fascinated them.  The teachers gave a guided tour of all the laboratories-Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer where parents could look through all the equipment and tools used for teaching. Parents found the programme very informative and useful and they appreciated the initiative taken by the school.
