Water Supply
The infra 2 division submitted that the 20-lakh liter underground tank at Surya Devta Booster in Dabua Colony is currently not having any water supply. The water supply line no. 4 of FMDA can be connected to the boosting station to enhance supply of water to Dabua Colony. CEO FMDA directed that a letter to the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad be written to provide electricity connection at the boosting station and install the required pumping machinery to ensure that the capacity of providing additional quantum of water is done for the benefit of the residents.

“We are working towards improving and augmenting water supply for the people of Faridabad. In this regard, laying of water supply pipelines, upgradation of boosting stations, making tubewells operational and other key steps are being taken to ensure that adequate water supply is made available keeping the future consumption levels in consideration,” said Sudhir Rajpal.

Additionally, the need for construction of a booster on the government land in Village Nangla, Gazipur was also raised where in there is a requirement of an underground tank. Sudhir Rajpal outlined that MCF can give the requisite land to FMDA who can take up the construction of the UGT and connect it to the existing FMDA water supply pipe line network.

CEO FMDA also directed the officers to raise the issue of lack of water supply to Jawahar Colony from Parshuram Booster Station, to the Deputy Commissioner Faridabad. Currently 10 lakh liter and 3 lakh liter water tanks are present at the boosting station along with adequate motor pumps and water supply from line no 3 and 6 of FMDA. But the water supply is not running at full capacity due to non-operation of boosting station properly. Rajpal directed that 3 Jal Mitras be appointed to monitor the working at the boosting station and DC Faridabad may look into the issue to ensure sufficient water supply to 1.5 lakh residents of Jawahar Colony.
The matter of laying the 900 mm dia water supply pipelines on Bypass road at sector 9 junction and from Sector 29 Chowk up to NHPC Chowk were also discussed. CEO FMDA directed to expedite the work which is to be undertaken by FMDA and NHAI for this project and to start the tendering process at the earliest.
