Faridabad/Alive News: the Department of Electronics Engineering of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, will host the 5th National Quality Convention, organized by the Safety and Quality Forum (SQF) of The Institution of Engineers (India) and IEI Faridabad Local Centre on May 1–2, 2026 at the University premises.
Er. Inderdeep Singh Oberoi, Chairman and Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Honorary Secretary of IEI Faridabad Local Centre apprised that the two-day convention will focus on the contemporary theme “Next-Gen Quality System for India: Digital, Green and Human-Centric Engineering for National Excellence.” The event aims to bring together leading industry experts, academicians, engineers, researchers, policy thinkers, and quality professionals from across the country to deliberate on future-ready quality systems for India.
Chairperson of the Department of Electronics Engineering, Prof. Munish Vashishath, informed that the convention will be inaugurated on May 1, 2026 with distinguished dignitaries including Er. Manish M. Kothari, President, IEI, Maj Gen M.J.S. Syali, VSM (Retd.), Secretary & Director General, IEI, Er. Inderdeep Singh Oberoi, FIE Chairman, Safety and Quality Forum, IEI Mr. Devendra Gill and other eminent personalities from engineering, academia and industry. A souvenir release, felicitation of Quality Excellence Awards, and recognition of sponsors and contributors are also scheduled during the inaugural session.
The event will feature plenary and keynote addresses by renowned professionals such as Er. Pradeep Chaturvedi, Founder SQF, Umesh Kumar Gupta of BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd., Uday Mahajan of Stolt Nielsen, and Mr. Dipil Kumar, Managing Director, Team Tech EHS, Bengaluru.
A major highlight of the convention will be multiple technical sessions and panel discussions, where over two dozen research papers and case studies will be presented on subjects including AI-enabled Quality Management Systems, Renewable Energy Quality Assurance, Sustainable Manufacturing, Industry 5.0 Readiness, Smart Engineering Innovations, Cybersecurity and Digital Quality, Green Manufacturing Practices and Healthcare Quality Systems.
A day-long Hackathon and parallel poster sessions will also encourage innovation and student participation.
The convention will conclude on May 2 with a Valedictory Function, where recommendations emerging from the sessions will be finalized and shared. Dr. Girdhar Gyani, Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers (India), will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.
Speaking ahead of the event, organizers said the convention is expected to create a roadmap for strengthening India’s competitiveness through digitally advanced, sustainable, and people-centric quality systems.
The organizers have invited engineers, students, researchers, industrial leaders, and quality professionals to participate in large numbers and contribute to shaping the future of national excellence.
