Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Communication and Technology (CMT) at J. C. Bose University organized an expert lecture on the topic of “Contemporary Challenges in Media.” The main speaker for the event was Anchal Gulati, an anchor and correspondent for DD News, who shared the intricacies of the subject with undergraduate and postgraduate journalism students. The Head of the Department, Prof. Pawan Singh, welcomed the main speaker with a memento.
During her address at the expert lecture, held in the media department’s studio, Anchal Gulati discussed the major challenges facing the current media landscape. She spoke extensively on key issues such as fake news, information overload, the decline in ethical values in journalism, and the influence of social media. She emphasized that in today’s digital age, the biggest challenge for journalists and media organizations is to maintain truth and factual information.
In his welcome speech, the Head of the Media Department, Prof. Pawan Singh, said that this lecture was an important effort to familiarize journalism students with the realities of the media and prepare them to face these challenges.
