Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad, celebrated the birth anniversary of the great visionary, Padma Bhushan Gian Prakash Chopra, with devotion and reverence. Gian Prakash Chopra, former President of DAV College Managing Committee and Principal of Hansraj College (University of Delhi) was remembered as a noble soul who dedicated his life to the cause of education and societal upliftment.
The celebrations began with a hawan, followed by prayers and soulful bhajans rendered by the Chairperson, Principal, teachers and students. Divya Sharma of Class V delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the life, values and contributions of Gian Prakash Chopra. To pay tribute to his deep conviction in conserving nature, a tree plantation drive was also organised in the school premises.
Chairperson Ms. Madhu Omchery fondly recalled her father as a pioneering educationist who tirelessly worked to introduce new and progressive learning systems, emphasizing skill education.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Rajan Gautam expressed pride that the school carries the name of such a revered personality. He remarked, “As his name suggests, Gian Prakash Chopra truly brought gian (knowledge) and strength to education. He always carried a smile on his face and remains a dignitary whose blessings will forever inspire our students.”
The program concluded with staff and students taking a solemn pledge to imbibe and practice the values and teachings of Gian Prakash Chopra in their lives.
