Faridabad/Alive News: On August 27, 2025, students of Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, had an enriching day with two educational visits one to the Rotary Blood Bank Charitable Trust Clinic and another to HDFC Bank & Canara Bank.
At the Rotary Blood Bank, the medical team welcomed the students and explained how blood banks work from selecting donors and handling blood units to separating components, storing them, identifying blood groups, and performing compatibility tests. Doctors spoke about the life-saving role of voluntary blood donation during emergencies, surgeries, and accidents. The students also met patients with Thalassemia, which gave them a deeper understanding of the importance of regular blood donations. They thanked Rtn. Deepak Prasad and his team for guiding them and inspiring them to spread awareness about this noble cause.

Later, the students visited HDFC Bank and Canara Bank to learn about the banking system. They were welcomed by the branch managers and staff, who explained the bank’s role in the economy, its services, and the importance of security in financial transactions. Students explored different sections of the bank, including the cash counter, customer service desk, and ATM corner. They learned about savings and recurring accounts, interest, digital banking, loans, cheque drop boxes, passbook printing, and ATM use. Bank officials patiently answered their questions and explained how each department works.
Both visits gave students valuable real-world knowledge, inspiring them to become informed, responsible, and compassionate citizens.
