Investiture Ceremony and 79th Independence Day Celebrated at DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School

Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector 49, Faridabad, celebrated its Investiture Ceremony and the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. The event began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, following the Vedic tradition.

The Chief Guest, Retired Colonel Sudeep Khasnavis, and the Guest of Honour, Ms. Madhu Omchery, Chairperson of the school, were warmly welcomed. The programme featured patriotic songs, energetic dance performances, and a heartfelt Hindi poem by the students, which stirred patriotic emotions among the audience.

During the ceremony, the newly elected Student Council for the 2025–26 session was officially sworn in, in the presence of parents and teachers. The highlight of the day was a captivating dance drama paying tribute to India’s rich history, which deeply moved everyone present.

Addressing the gathering, Col. Khasnavis, a Kargil war veteran, stressed the importance of self-discipline and integrity. He also remembered the sacrifices of the brave men and women who contributed to India’s freedom and progress over the past 78 years. Principal Sh. Rajan Gautam encouraged students to become responsible citizens and keep the nation’s glory shining high.

The celebrations concluded with the Shanti Path, DAV anthem, DAV Gaan, and the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and patriotism.
