Faridabad/Alive News: JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, today celebrated Constitution Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event brought together a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, A. Mona Shrivastava, Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad, Renu Bhatia, Chairperson of the Haryana Women’s Commission, Advocate Vineet Jakhar from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, and esteemed alumnus Naveen Sood.
The program was further honored by the presence of Satish Fagna, MLA of NIT Faridabad, and Dhanesh Adlakha, MLA, Badkhal. The event commenced with paying floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the esteemed architect of the Indian Constitution, honoring his invaluable contributions to the nation. The event also featured a compelling documentary on the Making of the Indian Constitution, providing attendees with an insightful look into the historical significance of this pivotal document.
Satish Fagna illuminated the gathering with key insights about the Constitution, describing it as the very soul of Indian democracy. He articulated the importance of fundamental duties, addressed contemporary challenges to constitutional values, and called upon the youth to take an active role in national development. Dhanesh Adalakha discussed the provisions enshrined in the Constitution, praising the visionary approach of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He emphasized how these provisions were designed to uphold justice, equality, and fraternity among all citizens, and lauded Ambedkar’s foresight in addressing the diverse needs of India’s populace. He also discussed the media’s crucial role in fostering awareness of constitutional values among the public.
The Program was also addressed by Sachin Gupta, Deputy Registrar of Examinations, Prof. Arvind Gupta, Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering, along with student representatives Sahil Kaushik and Alka Sharma. The event also recognized the creative talents of students through a Poster Making Competition, with prizes awarded to the winners. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Meha Sharma, Registrar of the University, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and the significance of the day.
