Faridabad/Alive News : Faridabad Model School, Sector-31 celebrated the World Environment Week with a lot of enthusiasm. Various activities were planned for the entire week in order to create awareness among the young generation to protect and preserve the degrading environment.
The celebration comprised of a quiz, a plantation drive & role plays to exhibit the significance of environment. The energy of students was at its peak throughout the week. A procession was carried by the students of class XI with high vigour and heartiness. The students prepared banners with attractive slogans to make the drive more effective. The efforts of our young FMSians got the
support and blessings of the people during the procession.
Last but not the least, the World Environment Day, June 5, marked the culmination of the celebration. A special assembly was conducted by the students, along with the quiz and a skit, a pledge was taken by the entire FMS family to save energy and protect environment. Also, a team from ISHA foundation conducted a seminar to make the students aware about the declining condition of soil, with their ongoing campaign ‘SAVE SOIL’. The volunteers explained the thought behind the campaign and how every member of the earth can contribute to the cause.
The program ended with a jingle and a dance, leaving the students with a happy heart and lots of enthusiasm for a better and promising future. FMS Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik appreciated the efforts of the students & the staff and pledged to continue the initiative throughout the year and make this world a better place not only for today but also for tomorrow.
