Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar represented J.C. Bose at 15th International Education and Skill Summit

Faridabad/Alive News: Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, participated as a distinguished panellist in the session titled “Lasting Learning: Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessments for the Future” at the 15th edition of The International Education and Skill Summit (TIESS) 2025, held at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Exhibition Centre), New Delhi.

J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad is exhibiting at the summit, showcasing its pioneering initiatives and best practices in skill development and technical education. The University stall is being led by Prof. Munish Vashishth, Dean (Institutions) and Prof. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal, Community College of Skill Development, who are representing the University at the exhibition.

During the panel discussion, Prof. Rajive Kumar shared the stage with eminent education leaders including Mr. Matthew Glanville, Director of Assessment, International Baccalaureate; Ms. Poonam Jamwal, Chief Business Officer, Extramarks Education; and Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Chief Executive & Secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The session was expertly moderated by Ms. Julia Garvey, Deputy Director General, British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA).

Highlighting the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in education, Prof. Rajive Kumar emphasised that originality and human creativity must not be lost in the age of AI and that teachers need to continuously innovate in pedagogy. He stressed that policymakers should launch large-scale awareness and capacity-building programmes for teachers on the responsible integration of AI, and that the ethical use of AI should be introduced as early as junior classes and even in pre-school education. He added that parents must also be educated about AI to guide their children appropriately, and that society needs greater introspection and dedicated time for children amidst rapid technological advancement.

Prof. Rajive Kumar also visited the University’s exhibition stall, interacted with the team manning the desk, and took a detailed round of the entire exhibition. He encouraged the accompanying faculty members to explore all exhibits to gain insights into the latest innovations and technological advancements in higher education, so that similar innovative initiatives can be replicated and introduced at J.C. Bose University.

A team of faculty members and students from the University is also actively visiting TIESS 2025 to observe global best practices and emerging trends in education technology and skill development.
