Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar Releases Book on Photojournalism


Faridabad/Alive News: Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, released a new Hindi book titled Photo Patrakarita. The book has been written by Dr. Taruna Narula, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Media Technology.

The book explains both the theory and practical techniques of photojournalism. It is useful for journalism students as well as working media professionals. This is Dr. Taruna Narula’s first authored book. It has been published by Blue Rose Publishers and is available on online platforms, including an e-book version.

While releasing the book, Prof. Rajive Kumar congratulated Dr. Narula and wished her success. He said the book would be a valuable guide for students to understand photojournalism in detail and would also help journalists in their professional work. He praised the Department of Communication and Media Technology, calling it one of the most active departments of the university and a leading center for media studies in North India.

Prof. Kumar also encouraged teachers to write quality books to improve academic learning and support students’ education.

The program was attended by Dr. D.P. Bhardwaj, President of Haryana Vidya Bharti, who appreciated the book and highlighted the need for ethical and skilled journalism in today’s fast-changing media world. Shri Krishna Chandra Arora, retired Principal of Government College, Adampur, was also present.

Prof. Anuradha Sharma, Dean of Liberal Arts and Media Studies, and Prof. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Media Technology, also addressed the gathering and congratulated Dr. Narula for her efforts.

Well-known media personalities Rajendra Chugh, former News Reader of All India Radio, and Bijender Bansal, President of the City Press Club, Faridabad, also spoke on the occasion. The event was attended by deans, department heads, faculty members, and students.
