Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University YMCA, in collaboration with the Public Media Tech Foundation, has launched a two-day workshop on Social Media Entrepreneurship.
The event was inaugurated under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, with Dean Academic Prof. Munish Vashisht, Dean Dr. Anuradha Sharma, and Head of Department Prof. Pawan Singh sharing their thoughts.
Prof. Pawan Singh welcomed guests with books and saplings, saying that social media is not the purpose of life but a path to achieve our goals. Prof. Munish Vashisht added that the workshop will not only cover theory but also practical skills to help students explore social media as a career option.
Key speaker and founder of News, Shalabh Upadhyay, encouraged students to face challenges positively. “Don’t fear failure, embrace it—it is the foundation of victory,” he said. He also urged them to tell their own stories, calling the media the “original storytellers.”
Writer and thinker Devesh Khandelwal spoke on using social media wisely in the digital age. He advised students to verify facts before forming opinions, read widely, and consult authentic sources, including books and editorial sections of newspapers.
Over 45 students from J.C. Bose University’s Media and MBA departments, as well as from Gurugram University, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, NGF College, DAV Centenary College, and Nehru College, participated. Assistant Professor Dr. Sonia Hooda gave the vote of thanks.
