Faridabad/Alive News: Shri Sudhir Rajpal, Chief Executive Officer, FMDA chaired the 21st Core Planning Cell Meeting of the Authority. Present were Garima Mittal, Additional CEO FMDA, Lalit Kumar, CEO Faridabad Smart City and senior officers of FMDA.
Shri Sudhir Rajpal approved the proposal for providing 2-meter-wide cycle tracks, road infrastructure and adequate horticulture on the 640-meter-long stretch on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg from Labour Chowk to Faridabad bypass road. Foothpaths on both sides of the road as well as providing surface drains on this stretch will be included in this project at an estimated cost of Rs 2.6 Crores.
“FMDA is paying top priority to developing road infrastructure in the city and we are taking up repairs and upgradation of various city roads. In the CPC meeting today, the proposal for special repair of master road from Pyali Chowk to Eicher Chowk which would include building footpaths, drainage work and repair of main carriageway has also been approved, to provide ease of commute to the citizens,” said Shri Sudhir Rajpal.
The proposal for annual maintenance of master roads of sectors 75-84 in Greater Faridabad was also submitted by the Infra Division of FMDA to ensure that roads are well-maintained through the year. The recommendation received the green signal from the FMDA Chief who directed that quality of work must not be compromised and workmanship is of utmost important in all road construction works being undertaken by FMDA.
FMDA is also working towards the improvement of 4 major intersections in the city, with the intersection of Neelam Flyover being the first project wherein upgradation of, storm water drains, footpaths, repair of the cracks in the pillar and overall comprehensive development will be planned to ensure free flow of traffic and improved commute experience for residents. Construction of service roads on both sides of the Neelam Flyover will also be undertaken.
The Infra 2 Division also submitted the proposal for providing and laying storm water line from Sector 20 A (Neelam Flyover) up to Vidya Mandir School and desilting of the existing storm water line from Radha Swami Satsang Road on NH upto 15 A Market near Ajronda Sabji Mandi.
FMDA will also be providing and laying sewer line from DM road via Ajronda Market upto Sector 15 and 15A dividing road near Telephone Exchange, Faridabad. Both the proposals were approved by CEO FMDA.
To boost social infrastructure in the city, CEO FMDA also directed the Urban Planning Division and Land Procurement Cell of FMDA to identify the land and modalities for land procurement for the development of stadium and town park for the benefit of the residents in Faridabad
