Students seen in the incarnation of Radha-Krishna on Janmashtami in DAV NH-3, festival celebrated with Joy

Faridabad/Alive News: Janmashtami was celebrated at DAV Public School NH-3, NIT on 6th Sept with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. A beautiful  backdrop was made with little Krishna in the cradle. The programme commenced with ‘Bhog’ ceremony to Lord Krishna by the school Principal Jyoti Dahiya.

The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting life history of Lord Krishna. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school where students presented songs, dance performances and a short role play.

An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha, Kansh – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children. The life history of Lord Krishna was very beautifully depicted by colourful Jhankis. The main attraction of the event was breaking of  the treasure filled Matki(dahi handi).

The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ (pot of butter & curd) to grace this occasion.Students presented a beautiful dance form ‘Gokul ki galiyo ’ & another soul touching dance Natkhat Kanha, melodius bhajans & many more. The teachers told the students many stories of krishna’s childhood. 

All the little Krishna’s and Radha’s looked adorable in their traditional costumes and  the entire area was transformed into a land of joy , celebrations and happiness. The school Principal Jyoti Dahiya showered her blessings & wished all the children Happy Janamashtami.
