Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT successfully organized a STEM-DLD workshop focusing on Environmental Studies for Elementary Classes on Thursday. The event began on a spiritual note with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, setting a serene and focused tone for the day’s academic discourse.
The school principal, Ms. Jyoti Dahiya extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests — Mr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Nangla Gujran, and Dr. Rajkumari, Head of the Physics Department, DAV Centenary College, NH-3. Both were felicitated with green planters, symbolizing the school’s commitment to environmental consciousness.
The workshop witnessed active participation from 40 educators representing various CBSE-affiliated schools, who presented insightful case papers. The central theme focused on innovative teaching strategies and classroom interventions aimed at enhancing environmental education for young learners.
Teachers shared practical classroom experiences, highlighting creative methods to boost student engagement in science, and strategies for effectively addressing diverse learning needs. These narratives sparked meaningful discussions and the exchange of ideas among the participants. Two exemplary papers were selected by the Appreciation Committee, based on parameters such as originality, impact, relevance, and feasibility of implementation.
The winning entries were lauded by Mr. Sharma, who appreciated the dedication and innovative thinking of the participants. Dr. Rajkumari emphasized the importance of such initiatives and advocated for more frequent workshops to promote professional growth and collaborative learning.
All participating educators were awarded certificates by Sahodaya, acknowledging their contribution and presence. Additionally, the workshop will be counted as 6 hours of in-house training under CBSE guidelines, further underlining its academic value.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a group felicitation by the Appreciation Committee, comprising Mr. Ajay Sharma, Dr. Rajkumari, and Ms. Jyoti Dahiya.
