Faridabad/Alive News: The State-Level Archery Tournament concluded today with resounding success, as participants from across the region demonstrated remarkable precision, focus, and athleticism. Held at DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,NH3, NIT, FARIDABAD the tournament brought together over 120 archers from various districts, competing in a range of categories from novice to expert.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from both participants and spectators, celebrating the growing popularity of archery as a competitive sport.The tournament opened with a brief ceremony, where the host school Principal Jyoti Dahiya delivered an inspiring speech about the importance of sports in personal and professional development. “Archery teaches patience, discipline, and concentration—skills that are essential not only in sports but in life. It is heartening to see such talented individuals participating in this age-old sport,” said she , encouraging the participants to aim for their best. Nisha Kaushik, Principal R.R.J.S.DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,HAILY MANDI and Seema Rajwanshi, Principal DAV POLICE PUBLIC SCHOOL , PALWAL were the observers for the event.Over the course of the two-day event, the competition was fierce, as archers competed across various age groups and distances.
The tournament included both individual and team events, showcasing a variety of bow styles such as recurve and compound and Indian bows. Archers demonstrated exceptional accuracy, with many hitting bullseyes and scoring high marks, much to the applause of an enthusiastic audience.In the Under -19 Boys Compound category, Ishant Choudhary representing DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, BALLABHGARH emerged as the tournament champion, securing a gold medal with a near-perfect score. In the Under -17 category Naman ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,CHEEKA ,KAITHAL baggaed First, Yash Dahiya ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,NH3,NIT ,FRAIDABAD Second and Dev Bamal ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,NH3,NIT,FARIDABAD Third position. In the girls division Under -17 Girls category Navya ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, BHONDSI,GURUGRAM secured First and Sonakshi Sinha , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SONEPAT Second . dominated the competition, displaying remarkable consistency and precision throughout the event.
The junior categories also saw outstanding performances, with young archers in Under -14 Compound category Boys Shivam Rawat , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR 14 FARIDABAD (First) and Yash Chopra , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHEEKA ,KAITHAL (Second) making their mark by winning their respective divisions. In the Under -14 category Girls Varuni Malik ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,ROHTAK stood First .In the Under -19 Recurve category Boys, Shorav DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, NARWANA secured First ,Shubham ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , NARWANA, Second ,Prince Saini , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,BALLABHGARH ,Third and Mukoond Sharma, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL NH3 ,NIT ,FARIDABAD Fourth position . In the Under -17 Recurve category, Saksham Ahalawat , DAV POLICE PUBLIC SCHOL, SECTOR 30 ,FARIDABAD bagged the First , Anirudh ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, HISAR ,Second Jagdeep , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHEEKA,KAITHAL Third and Chaitanya , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR 15 SONIPAT Fourth position. In the Under -19 category Girls Jyoti Dhankar form DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , BALLABHGARH secured the First position .In the Under -17 category Girls , Shreya Dahiya ,DAV BALLABGARH bagged First ,Tamanna Gulia ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,NH3 ,NIT ,FARIDABAD Second ,Vani, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,SIRSAThird and Mehnoor Kaur ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,CHEEKA,KAITHAL Fourth position.The junior categories Under -14 Recurve category Boys ,Anirudh DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,CHEEKA,KAITHAL secured First ,Tushar DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, BALLABHGARH bagged Second, and Dheeraj Kumar DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHEEKA ,KAITHAL stood Third .In the Under -14 Recurve category Girls, Aanya singh , DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, BALLABHGARGH secured First, Sejal Shira DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,CHEEKA,KAITHAL Second , Pari Dahiya DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , BALLABHGARH Third ,Oshin DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL CHEEKA,KAITHAL Fourth position .In the Under -19 Indian category Boys ,all the four positions were bagged by MLS DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, NARNAUL Yash Sharma stood First,Shabd ,Second Vivek ,Third and Navneet, Fourth .In the Under -19 Indian category Girls, Lamha, MLS DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,NARNAUL, stood First , Shiksha, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , NARNAUL , Second, Ankush Maan DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , NARNAUL, Third and Mehak Arora, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,SECTOR 14 ,GURUGRAM ,Fourth position. In the Under -17 Indian category Girls, all the Three positions were bagged by DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR 14, GURUGRAM . Ayushi Yadav stood First , Deetya Gambhir Second and Khushboo Arora Third. In the Under -14 Indian category Girls , Mishika ,ID DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, HISARsecured the First , Pari Saini, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, BALLABHGARG, Second , Ojal DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,SONEPAT ,Third and Gracey Singh ,DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL ,CHEEKA,KAITHAL Fourth position.In the Under -14 Indian category Boys, Team Championship DAV POLICE PUBLIC ,NARNAUL bagged the First position whereas MKS DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL , NARNAUL stood Second. In the Under -14 Indian category Girls , Team Champion ship DAV NARNAUL stood first GURUGRAM second .
The event concluded with a vibrant award ceremony, where winners were presented with medals, certificates, and trophies. The organizers thanked the sponsors and volunteers for their support in making the tournament a grand success.This tournament was a great experience for all .It motivated everyone to train harder and aim for national championships in the future. Many participants expressed their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious level.
