Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, celebrated its Sports & Appreciation Day with great enthusiasm on February 7, 2026, within the school campus. The event was attended by several eminent guests including Mr. Rajesh Garg, Retired Additional District and Sessions Judge; Mr. Dinesh Raghuvanshi, internationally known poet and author; Mr. A.K. Malik, Managing Director of the FMS Managing Committee and former Advisor to the President of Zambia; Mr. S.S. Gusain, Chief Patron, H.P.S.C.; Mr. H.S. Malik, former Chairman CWC, Government of Haryana; Mrs. Raj Malik, Educational Counsellor and Founder Principal of FMS Sector-48, along with other distinguished members of the FMS management and academic team.
The celebration began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the unfurling of the school flag by the chief guest, Mr. Rajesh Garg. Students impressed the audience with a disciplined march past and energetic dance drills, showcasing their coordination, fitness and team spirit.
During the prize distribution ceremony, Founder’s Scholarship awardees for the academic session 2025–26 and students who achieved success at district, state and national levels were honoured. The chief guests congratulated the award winners and their parents, emphasizing the importance of sports and co-curricular activities for the overall development of students.
FMS Chairman Rtn. H.S. Malik praised the students’ performances, blessed the awardees and encouraged them to contribute positively to nation-building. He also appreciated the efforts of the school staff and thanked parents for their continued support.
The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.
