Faridabad/Alive News : In order to develop a keen interest in Social science, students of DAV Public school NH-3 NIT Faridabad celebrated Social Science Week from 24 th July to 29th July 2023. Various activities were organized based on the states of Haryana and Manipur on 24th and 25th July. A quiz was conducted during assembly and all the students participated enthusiastically and earned rewards as well.
On 26th and 27th July, students of classes IV to V made ‘Thank You’ cards to depict gratitude towards the helpers in our school. On 28th July, in the morning assembly, Seep of class X shared her views on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment. Students of classes VII prepared beautiful posters on Gender equality. On 29th July, the movie about Mangal Pandey, the Hero of the Revolt of 1857, was shown to the students classes VIII.
In addition to it, students of classes VIII and IX expressed their feelings by making wonderful collages and posters on the culture of Haryana and Manipur. This week was a week of excitement and zeal for all the students.
Overall it was brilliant week. Students showcased immense talent and keen interest in Social Science. The School Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya expressed her gratitude to all the teachers and the students who carried out the events of Social Science week superbly.
