Short Term Course on ‘Electric Vehicle Technologies’ Inaugurated

Faridabad/Alive News : A one-week Short Term Course on ‘Electric Vehicle Technologies’ organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad was inaugurated today.

The inaugural session was graced by Sh. Arun Kapoor CEO, JBM Green Energy Systems Gurugram and Prof. Mukhtiar Singh from Delhi Technological University, Delhi. The session witnessed the presence of senior functionaries including, Dean (Institutions) Prof. Sandeep Grover, Dean (FET) Prof. Rajkumar, Registrar Sunil Kumar Garg, Chairperson of the Electrical Engineering Department Dr. Anju Gupta, and various deans, chairpersons, and faculty members from other departments. The session was coordinated by Dr. Sakshi Kalra and Dr. Anubha Gautam.

The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Anju Gupta. In her speech, Dr. Gupta extended a hearty welcome to all the dignitaries and provided an overview of the program’s objectives and significance.

Addressing the session, Prof. Grover emphasized on the significant importance of organising such short-term courses in the context of the rapidly evolving automotive and transportation industry. Such a course offers participants a focused and condensed opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge and skills related to electric mobility. The participants should make sure to take advantage of such opportunities.

Dean (FET) Prof. Raj Kumar lauded the department’s initiative in organizing the course, acknowledging its role as a valuable resource for individuals seeking to remain competitive in a fast-changing industry, contribute to sustainable transportation solutions, and embrace the transformative potential of electric mobility.

Sh. Arun Kapoor, the keynote speaker, provided valuable insights into the intricate relationship between EV power-train technologies and the evolving business landscape in the electric mobility sector. His session aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of the technical aspects of EV power-trains and their alignment with business strategies for sustainable market growth.

Prof. Mukhtiar Singh delivered an enlightening talk on “Integration of Electric Vehicles with Renewable Energy.” The session provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the symbiotic relationship between EVs and renewable energy sources. By showcasing the potential benefits and challenges, the talk encouraged participants to envision a future where electric mobility and renewable energy systems work harmoniously to create a more sustainable and resilient energy ecosystem.
