Faridabad/Alive News: A seminar on Skill Education focusing on Kaushal Bodh was organised at DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad on January 12, 2026. The seminar was held as per the guidelines of NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023 and aimed to strengthen vocational education for students from Classes VI to VIII, as promoted by CBSE.
The resource persons for the session were Ms. Sandeepa Rai, Principal of Rotary Public School, and Ms. Ritu Bedi, Principal of Red Roses Public School. They explained the aims of Kaushal Bodh, its curriculum, classroom activities and assessment methods in a clear and practical manner.
The speakers highlighted the importance of learning by doing, dignity of labour, life skills, awareness of the workplace and project-based learning. Teachers were also guided on interdisciplinary teaching, the role of skill coordinators and the involvement of local experts.
While addressing the teachers, the school Principal, Shri Rajan Gautam, stressed the importance of skill education in preparing students for real-life challenges. He encouraged teachers to include Kaushal Bodh effectively in the school timetable.
The seminar ended with a reflection and feedback session. Teachers found the programme very useful and felt more confident to implement skill education in a meaningful way.
