Faridabad/ Alive News: On the eve of Republic Day a programme based on patriotism was organized here in Savitri Polytechnic for Women Nehru Ground courtyard on January 25. In which students of various faculties were performed songs as ‘Ai mere watan ke logo’ ‘Mere Desh Ki Dhari’ ‘Dulhan Chali’ and ‘Desh Mera Rangila’ and simultaneously, paid tribute to the soldiers. They defined an importance of the ceremony through poems.
We all countrymen are taking breath today with untiring efforts of freedom fighters as Mahatma Gandhi ji, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai. They released us from Englishmen by losing their lives and today is the day on January 26, 1950 when our constitution was formally adopted and since then the day we are celebrating as ‘Republic Day’.
On this occasion principal of the institution Kamlesh Shah paid tributes to the martyrs and the entire hall sounded with his slogans as Jay Javan Jai Bharat and finally, all faculties’ members including student ended the programme with the national anthem.
