Faridabad: Sarvodaya Hospital & Research Centre, Faridabad is organizing a surgical ‘ENT’ workshop-‘Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery’ at compound. The workshop will be held on March 20 by the Department of ENT at the Hospital. Eminent surgeons from India will demonstrate different aspects of surgery in ENT. The workshop aims to explore new and improved avenues of surgery in ENT and highlight its benefits.
Dr. Ravi Bhatia, Convenor, Faridabad ENT Update & Senior Consultant, ENT, of the hospital, said, “Different types of surgical interventions would be conducted at the Hospital. These surgical interventions will be telecasted live for the delegates. This interactive workshop will provide a unique learning experience for all present, several of whom would be post-graduate students of medicine.”
He added the nationally renowned faculty would be giving presentations on ENT surgeries and share their knowledge and expertise in this area. Dr. Alok Aggarwal, Dr. Sharat Latta and Dr. Ajeet Man Singh, renowned surgeons from Delhi-NCR, will discuss on the emerging medical science of ENT surgeries. Surgical interventions on nose and ear would be demonstrated; these surgical interventions would be a mix of open and endoscopic procedures. Surgeries for CSF leak repair, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyposis, naso-pharangeal angiofibroma, tumor & facial nerve decompression and other procedures would also be done at the workshop. The ENT surgeons from ENT forum Faridabad, including Dr. Lalit Hassija, Dr. Rajeev Arya and Dr. SPS Jindal, were present in the session.
He further said Endoscopic surgery is fast becoming the preferred choice of surgery amongst the doctors and patients. Some common benefits for the patients includes less anesthesia, reduced pain & blood loss, faster recovery and fewer complications.
