Faridabad: A meeting of senior officers of Surajkund Mela Authority, Haryana Tourism & Govt. of Telangana was chaired by Dr. Sumita Mihsra, Principal Secretary Tourism Haryana -Cum-Vice Chairman Surajkund Mela Authority. Mrs. Sunita M. Bhagwat, Director, Department of Tourism, Govt. of Telangana , Mr. Krishna Rao, Spl. Officer, Shilpa Rama, Govt. of Telangana, Mr. Hari Krishna, Director, Culture, Govt. of Telangana, Mr. Sumeet Singh, Addl Director, Tourism, Govt. of Telangana besides other officers of Telangana State represented Telangana, the Theme State in 30th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2016. Shri Vikas Yadav, Director General Tourism Haryana-Cum-Chief Administrator, Surajkund Mela Authority also attended the meeting besides other senior officers of the Haryana Tourism & Surajkund Mela Authority. The meeting was followed by the joint round of the Surajkund Mela Grounds where preparations of the Mela are going at full swing.
Officers from Telangana have assured their great participation by way of putting up ‘Apna Ghar’ of Tribal Telangana where a family of a far flung area of the state would come & showcase rural traditions of the state. The state would chalk out plan for erecting a permanent commemorative structure besides erecting semi-permanent structures at all major entry gates of Mela. State of the art Information Centre & Food stall where Telangana pungent & spicy delicacies would be served will be major attractions.
Mrs. Sumita Misra while assuring full cooperation to the state of Telangana, further directed the officers to adhere to the time lines for all major works. She further directed officers to extend full cooperation & courtesy to the visiting delegates. A presentation on road map to a greater participation was shown to the visiting delegates.
