NIT resident Jitendra Chugh drown in Hooghly River, yet to be traced

Faridabad/ Alive News: NIT5 resident, Jitendra Chugh drowned in Hooghly River while bathing with his two other friends. His two friends narrow escaped but he drown and his body yet to be traced after two day passed.

The victim’s father Amar Nath Chugh talking to media said his son Jitendra including Yogesh Sharma, Rajiv Yadav resident of NIT-5, Vipin Gulati resident 2N Block, Dhruw Bansal resident of Sainik Colony and Pramod Dutta resident of Shalimar Bagh went to Kolkata on February 24, 2018 and then from there, they went to Mayapur Nawadeep, Iskcon temple and he had to return Delhi by flight at late night on March 3, 2018. He went to take bath in a nearby Ghat around 3:30 PM along with his friends. During the river bath his friends were able to come out, but he drowned.

RWA 3E Block president, Dr S.K Chugh told that after this incident, rescue team continue searching him, but he yet to be traced on Saturday evening. Dr Chugh said Jitendra is married and has a son named Devansh.
