Faridabad/Alive News: On 13th August 2025, MEC Convent School came alive with the vibrant hues of patriotism and devotion, as the celebrations of India’s Independence Day beautifully intertwined with the festivities of Janmashtami. The school campus was adorned with tricolour flags, flowers, and festive decorations, radiating joy and pride.
The event was graced by Chief Guests Mrs. Meenu Gupta (Chairperson, Skymap Foundation & Assistant Governor, Rotary Club), Mrs. Tanvi Garg and Mrs. Umang Gupta (Interior Designers), and Mr. Ravish Taneja (MD, Gear Up Electric Pvt. Ltd.) along with Principal Mrs. Swati Taneja. Students extended a warm welcome, followed by a floral greeting from the Principal and staff. The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guests. Director Ma’am, Mrs. Rita Taneja, also sent her blessings to the students and staff.
The cultural program started with a lively dance performance, followed by a poignant act on the Pahalgam attack and a stirring skit honouring soldiers’ sacrifices. To mark Janmashtami, students enacted the touching tale of Lord Krishna and Sudama, portraying values of friendship and humility.
Chief Guest Mrs. Meenu Gupta addressed the gathering with inspiring words, while the Principal urged students to uphold patriotism, moral values, and cultural heritage.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, sung with pride by all. The celebration was a perfect blend of national pride and cultural devotion, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.
