Faridabad/Alive News: Manav Sanskar Public School, Dheeraj Nagar, conducted a comprehensive Disaster Management Workshop on 30 May 2025 aimed at enhancing preparedness and resilience within the school community.
The workshop, facilitated by Resource Person Dr. Kaumudi Bhardwaj with Ms. Sudha Ojha, Ms. Priya focused on equipping teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively handle emergencies during disaster in the presence of Mentor Ms. Rama Kaul and Ms. Reena Mishra. The session focused on Natural and Man Made Disasters, its preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigations.
The sessions covered a range of topics, including the identification of various types of disasters, both natural and man-made, and the implementation of appropriate response strategies. Emphasis was placed on practical training, such as evacuation procedures and the use of emergency equipment, to ensure that educators are well-prepared to safeguard students during unforeseen events.
This initiative aligns with CBSE’s ongoing efforts to integrate Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) into the educational curriculum, fostering a culture of safety and resilience among students and staff. By empowering educators through such workshops, the school aims to build a robust framework for disaster preparedness its teachers, and students.
The workshop concluded with an interactive session, allowing participants to discuss challenges and share best practices, thereby reinforcing the collective commitment to creating safer educational environments.
