Faridabad/Alive News: Manav Sanskar Public School celebrated the festivals of Lohri and Makar Sankranti with great enthusiasm on the school campus. Students of Class 10 took active part in the celebration, making the event lively and meaningful.
The programme started with the lighting of the sacred fire, which symbolises prosperity, positivity and the harvest season. Students offered peanuts, sesame seeds, popcorn and sweets into the fire and prayed for happiness and success. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and cultural spirit.
Students were also told about the importance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti, which celebrate nature, harvest and gratitude and mark the change in the sun’s movement. The celebration helped students understand Indian culture and traditions in a simple and practical way.
The school Principal, Dr. Kaumudi Bhardwaj, addressed the students and spoke about the importance of festivals in promoting unity, respect for nature and cultural values. She encouraged students to follow traditions while developing a positive and scientific approach to life.
Teachers guided the students throughout the programme and ensured discipline and active participation. The celebration ended with the distribution of prasad and a message of harmony and togetherness. The event was enjoyed by everyone and proved to be a memorable learning experience for the students.
