Faridabad/ Alive News: Sports is an integral part of every student’s life at DC Model School. Sports Day was a splendid occasion for them to showcase their speed and agility on the field. In a tradition reminiscent of the Olympic spirit of sportsmanship, the Kindergarten Sports Day started with a brilliant torch lighting ceremony. The mascots were Tiya of the Lower Kindergarten who represented children from across the globe, bringing us the message of universal brotherhood and how children across the globe could be an instrument of change.
The occasion was graced by the worthy presence of Shweta the Principal of Kinder Clatter play school had a captivating morning watching the toddlers take participate with great enthusiasm and exuberance. She was spell bound by the team spirit showcased by the children in the races like bindi pasting, balloon bursting, fruit collection, book balancing. The fun-filled day also included the synchronized yoga presentation followed by the mass drill.
Meanwhile, the parents also enthusiastically participated in the races being arranged for them. They had to carry their child on their shoulder, pick up a balloon from a basket kept on the mid way and then move further to the finishing point and the mother’s showed their intelligence in winning the race in which they had to make a sandwich for their child, pack it in their Tiffin and move forward. The day ended with the prize distribution ceremony in which all the lucky winners were awarded the medals as per their position.
