Faridabad/Alive News: Faculty members of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, have been selected to receive research grant amount to Rs. 70 lakhs from Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology under Department of Science and Technology, Haryana, for their Research and Development (R&D) Projects which aims to encourage young scientists and inventors for pursuing innovative research ideas which have direct relevance to the development of the State.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar has congratulated the faculty members on their selection for their research grants and said that the grant will definitely boost the research activities in the University and provide technical solutions to address various issues in the State. Registrar Dr. Meha Sharma has also congratulated the faculty members. The selected faculty members will receive grants of Rs 40 Lakhs and 30 Lakhs, respectively, for their Research and Development Projects to undertake research in the next three years.
The faculty members who have been selected to receive grants are Dr. Preet Kaur, Associate Professor in the Electronics Engineering Department as Principal Investigator and Dr. Sonia Bansal, Professor, Department of Physics as Co-Principal Investigator for their project on Smart Agriculture using Nano Antenna Sensor System and will receive Rs 40 Lakhs grant for the Research Project titled “Design and Development of Nano Antenna Sensor System for Real-Time Analysis in Smart Agriculture”.
Similarly, Dr. Somvir Bajar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences as Principal Investigator and Dr. Anurag Prakash Sunda, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry Department as Co-Principal Investigator for their research project on Volatile Organic sources of Air pollution in Ambient Air and their Quantum Analysis for NCR Region and will receive grant of Rs 30 Lakhs for the Project titled “Volatile Organic Compounds in Ambient Air: Source Apportionment and DFT/Quantum Analysis for NCR Region.”
