JC Bose University student shines in Kickboxing

Faridabad/Alive News : Om Tewatia, a student of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has brought laurels to the University by winning medals in the 2nd WAKO Indian Open International Kickboxing Tournament 2022 which was held recently at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

Om Tewatia is a first-year student of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and won two gold medals for the Country. He defeated the Sri Lankan player in the final match. The nine times National Champion, Om Tewatia, who is the first-degree belt holder had also participated in WAKO World Junior Kickboxing Championship-2022 in Italy, and secured 5th and 9th rank. He is also the Professional Kickboxing State Championship title belt holder.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar and Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg have congratulated the student on his achievement and extended best wishes for his future endeavors. Deputy Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Anuradha Pillai was also present on this occasion.

The chairperson of the Communication and Media Technology Department Dr. Pawan Singh Malik said that it is a matter of happiness that the students of the Department are bringing laurels to the university in sports and various fields. Dr. Malik has also congratulated Tewatia for his achievement.
