JC Bose University signs MoU with Hero MotorCorp

Faridabad/Alive News : To provide students opportunities for Industrial Training and Placement, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, today signed an MoU with two-wheeler major Hero MotorCorp to provide training to the students studying under its Community College of Skill Development (CCSD) in the area of two-wheeler technologies.
As a part of MoU, Hero MotoCorp will provide On – Job -Training (OJT) to students enrolled into the B.Voc and Diploma program offered by the University.

The MoU was signed by the Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg on behalf of the University, and the Plant Head of Hero MotoCorp, Dharuhera Mr. Venkataramanan Ganesan, on behalf of Hero MotoCorp. Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal of CCSD, Dean (R&D) Prof. Rajesh Kumar Ahuja, Human Resources Head of Hero MotoCorp (Dharuhera Plant) Dharm Rakshit and Head of Hero MotoCorp Gurukul Training Centre Sudhansu Padhy were also present on this occasion.

Expressing pleasure over the academic collaboration, the Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar said that the University has always endeavoured to bridge the technology gap between industry and academia to improve employability and self-competence of students. He said that Hero MotoCorp is a well known name in Automotive Industry and students will be benefitted from the industry based training, he added. Vice-Chancellor urged the Hero Motocorp officials to prepare students not only for industry ready but as per the interest of the student under OJT, which was warmly received by Officials of Hero Motocorp. Further, He stressed upon signing the output based MoU only and shown his pleasure that this is one such MoU and first in his tenure.

Earlier, Dr. Sanjeev Goyal welcomed the guests and briefed them about the courses being offered by Community College of Skill Development. He apprised that at present, the Colleges is offering four B. Voc., four PG Diploma and four Diploma courses on skill development. He said that the College is striving to achieve cent percent placement for all Skill developments programs and continuously aligning industries with these courses.

Speaking on this occasion, Venkataramanan said that Industries can do a lot for nation building by skilling the youth and preparing them for job ready. He said that Hero MotoCorp Limited is the world’s largest and leading manufacturer of two-wheelers. He said that in-line with the national priority of skill building for employability; the company’s initiative is to help to address the issues of unemployment in the state through meaningful industry academia collaboration.

Dharm Rakshit, Human Resources Head of Hero MotoCorp Dharuhera Plant said that the Company will not only provide on job training to the students but give them opportunity for their overall development. It also helps them to participate in National and International Level Skillathon Competitions, he added
Sudhansu Padhy shared practical experience of students in Hero Motocorp and said that the Company is providing on job training to about 500 students through the tie-up with academic institutions.
